Doing Good in the 21st Century

How must the social sector adapt to succeed in meeting 21st Century challenges and opportunities?

Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) and La Piana Consulting launched a joint exploration of this question at the 2013 EPIP National Conference in Chicago.

We co-hosted a workshop session and asked EPIP and Council on Foundation conference participants to comment on emerging trends and surface examples of individuals, organizations, and networks proving their ability to succeed in the 21st Century.

The following video vignettes are the beginning of a conversation we hope to continue and take to the next level. We hope you watch these videos and consider the skills you are using to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. How do you measure up as a 21st Century Leader?

Doing Good in the 21st Century was made possible through the generous support of the Blue Shield of California Foundation.

Business Models Social change business model diversification is needed.

Generational Shift It’s not a leadership “hand-off”. It’s finding a new path forward- together.
